This movie is based on Bryan Burrough's non-fiction book. The movie is set during the great depression with the focus on the FBI agent Melvin Purvis's to stop Dillinger, but no one could stop John Dillinger and his gang Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy. His fearless jailbreaks and charm that makes him loved by his girlfriend Billie Frechette (Cotillard) and by the American public who had no compassion for the banks who casts the country into the Depression.
