A teen romance story about a high-school girl named Samantha Martin (Hillary Duff) plays the role of a modern-day Cinderella. The story involves a lost cellphone instead of a glass slipper.It begins with the untimely death of his widowed father (Whip Hubley) which leaves her and the diner to her wicked stepmom Fiona, the one who will exploits her. Because of a misplaced celphone and some coincidence Sam and Prince Charming's(Chad Michael Murray) love story was developed through text messages and e-mails. They promised to meet each other at the biggest school dance of the year of course it will not go smoothly. She will not be able to meet Austin Ames, the most popular boy in school and that's where the search for Cinderella begins.
